Our approach to learning

Learning through play, curiosity and connection

Children and an educator learning together

At TinyWings, children are active participants in their own learning. Our educators create meaningful, play-based experiences that respond to each child’s interests, strengths, development and individual way of learning.

Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, our program supports children to develop across five important areas.

Early Years Learning Framework

Five areas we grow together

Identity

A strong sense of who they are.

Connection

Meaningful relationships with people, community and their world.

Wellbeing

Confidence, resilience and emotional security.

Learning

Curiosity, creativity, exploration and problem-solving.

Communication

The confidence to express ideas, thoughts, feelings and discoveries.

Each area shows up in ordinary moments: a shared story, a first attempt at a zip, a question asked out loud and taken seriously.

Thinking together

Big ideas, in small moments

Alongside early learning, we introduce children to age-appropriate philosophical thinking through stories, conversations and everyday experiences.

We encourage curiosity, reflection, thoughtful questioning and an early understanding of values such as truth, love, wisdom, justice and courage. It is natural, warm and part of how children learn to make sense of themselves and the world around them.

Truth Love Wisdom Justice Courage
