Welcome
A new chapter for Craigieburn
From 31 August, the Craigieburn early learning service begins a new chapter as TinyWings Early Learning & Kindergarten.
At TinyWings, we believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, valued and inspired. Our educators create nurturing learning environments where children can build confidence, form meaningful relationships and explore the world around them through play.
Alongside early learning, we also introduce children to age-appropriate philosophical thinking through stories, conversations and everyday experiences encouraging curiosity, reflection, thoughtful questioning and an early understanding of values such as truth, love, wisdom, justice and courage.
We look forward to welcoming children and families into the TinyWings community and building strong, positive relationships together.

Our approach to learning
Learning through play, curiosity and connection
At TinyWings, children are active participants in their own learning. Our educators create meaningful, play-based experiences that respond to each child’s interests, strengths, development and individual way of learning.
Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, our program supports children to develop across five important areas.
Early Years Learning Framework
Five areas we grow together
Identity
A strong sense of who they are.
Connection
Meaningful relationships with people, community and their world.
Wellbeing
Confidence, resilience and emotional security.
Learning
Curiosity, creativity, exploration and problem-solving.
Communication
The confidence to express ideas, thoughts, feelings and discoveries.
Each area shows up in ordinary moments: a shared story, a first attempt at a zip, a question asked out loud and taken seriously.
The learning journey
From Hatchling to Flyer
Every room at TinyWings is named after a real stage in a bird’s development, and takes its colour from the Australian bird behind the name. Each room is a nest: a place that protects, at a specific stage of learning to fly.

Ready for the next big step
Our Kindergarten program supports children as they prepare for school and beyond. Through play, inquiry, relationships and intentional teaching, children are encouraged to develop the confidence and skills to:
- Communicate their ideas
- Build friendships
- Develop independence
- Solve problems
- Explore early literacy and numeracy concepts
- Manage routines and transitions
- Approach new experiences with curiosity and confidence
Families and community
Families are part of the journey
No one knows your child quite like you do.
We believe the strongest early learning experiences are built through genuine partnerships between children, families and educators.
From orientation and your child’s first day through to daily communication, learning updates and family involvement, we want families to feel informed, welcomed and connected.
